That title was afforded me by [blog bella_], a sweetheart that maintains one of the most active and interesting blogs on this site. I recommend taking a look by clicking the above link. I plan on using the name to refrence the new and original intentions of the old loveable bas*ard you guys have come to know. Thomas Dos Santos will forever more be the tag I associate with my efforts at improvement. Now the question on all your minds is "Who is Thomas Dos Santos?" The answer is an interesting one. At least I think so. Born in Pennsylvania, raised all over the country by military parents, and settled in Maryland. The proud of Tom and Bev, and brother to two sisters, Erica and Emily. Uncle to one darling nephew Christian. 27 years old, never married, and without of my own I am my immediate family. I plan to marry only once, and will wait ten lifetimes if necessary to find the appropriate woman. Family is something that appeals to me so the idea of is not discouraging. I have been called a big by some (especially when there are other around) so I look forward to putting it to personal use. As for my lifes normal commings and goings, I would define it as random and slightly out of control. I have a lot of interests, and hobbies, so my time seems to never fully focus in any one area. I like variety, and am always the first to suggest going to some place new. Adventure is something I do occasionally crave so a Jedi I am not. I like the feeling of NOT knowing what is gonna happen next. I like the idea of making something work on will and instincts alone. Being a army brat I have learned to survive anywhere, and fit in quickly. The way I look makes me stand out like a sore thumb, but I rarely let that stop me. Lets just say that most people that meet me remember me long afterward. I still have people approach me in the mall of my folks hometown and ask if I am that guy that went to there highschool that always carried the saddle bags? Long Story, it was just a book bag alternative... Shesh I am quite artistic by nature, and some say I have the artistic temperment to match. I have always, since I was quite young, aspired to see things how they should be, not as they are. I practice several standard forms of artistic expression, including canvas, watercolor, charcoal, graphite, brushed ink, stencil, and nib pen. I do a variety of designs for various pruposes, including furniture, props, framework, and stained glass. I even do some lead and clay sculpture work, when it is convenient. I am most well known for a long run as a Tattoo Stencil Artist as well as a childrens book illistrator. I am currently working on my own childrens book, a novel, a graphic novel (ask a comic collector the diffrence), and fantasy painting of specific detailed warhammer 40k models. As for my professional life, this is where it gets complex. I have done more jobs than I could mention here. I activly take jobs I have [color red]no experience[/color] in after I tire of the last. I like to do new things. I like to learn new trades. As such I have been a carpenter, carpet installer, drywall tech, programmer, telemarketer, auto detailer, chef, retread tire engineer, HAZMAT tech, Demilitarization Tech, painter, gardner, salesmen, dock worker, crane operator, fork lift driver, truck driver, oil rig worker, fishing boat hand, security system installer, ect. The list could go on for days. I also do voice over work for commertials on free radio, and internet radio. The short of it is I make a very good handy man just cause I have experience in almost everything, so I can generally fix it if its broke. Of all of those mentioned, my focus would be Chemical Weapons Demilitarization. I will explain. In some parts of the world, including this one, there are stockpiles of chemical weapons that are so old they are dangerous. The military and the government have to saftly get rid of those stores of weapons. Thats where I come in. Ever see the movie Outbreak? Remember the guys in the full body suits and masks working in the contaminated areas? Well thats close to what I do. Only my suit is bigger and heavier, and I go into [size 3]Chemically Contaminated[/size] areas to maintance the machines that preform the process of making those nasty chem weapons safe for everyone. Its a crazy job but it has taken me around the world. I even spent over a year working on Johnston Atoll (island two hours west of Hawaii) for a demil assignment. I got to actually live on a tiny tropical island in the middle of nowhere and they PAID me for it! I loved it. I am not currently contracted and do art to make the ends meet, but I am in contention for a contract in Pine Bluff AK that would have me climbing into the suit one more time. I have grown tired of the field but the pay is hard to ignore. Yes they pay quite a bit to learn how to saftly play with that stuff. What else is there to say? I have told you the basics, and the rest of the profile covers my likes and such. I can freely admit your most likely to find me in a pair of boots, jeans, and a button up shirt. My hair is long, and that will never change. It has been that way since I was 8 years old, and I couldn't even imagine what life would be like without it. I drive a electric blue pick up truck, and although I would like a crew cab, I am happy with it. No real want or need for a sports car. I do love to ride motorcycles, and at one point I owned a 78 Harley Superglide. It was a of a bike though, and after a few years I sold it, cause it cost to much to keep runnin. I will be getting a new sled when the money is available. I would really like to look into an American Ironhorse. On of the biggest parts of my daily life is eating believe it or not. I know your might scoff since I am rather thin, but I eat a lot, and love to eat. I love resturants, REAL resturants, as well as sports bar and grill type places. Not a big fast food fan, but it will do if the money is tight. I have been so many places, and other countries, and some of the best memories are the local menu. I am a huge cajun fan, and seafood and I get along famously, especially sushi and shushimi. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be a toss between a roast turkey, crawfish and beer, or the dragon roll at Sakora. Gumbo, pork roast with mashed potatoes and sourcrout, and maryland crab would be a close second. Anything italian or french will do nicely too. I just love to eat. And its not all about the food. One of my favorite things in the world is to sit down at a table with my nearest and dearest and enjoy company and conversation over some fine dining. There are few experiences better than laughing and enguaging over some killer eats, and fantastic drinks. If I could spend the rest of my life doing that five times a week, I would sign up in a second. Maybe I sould become a resturant critic? All in all my friends and family come first, and if you haven't guessed by now, I don't take the rest very seriously. I love life, and make a point to enjoy it. I adore my true friends and make a point to try and keep there lives as safe but interesting as my own. I appreciate the gift of laughter most of all and offer it to friend and stranger alike. Being a movie buff I am quick with sarcastic quips, and the quoting of appropriate lines from obscure flix. I love music, in all forms, Metal, Blues, and Jazz the most. I used to work at live venue clubs just to be able to see live bands play all the time. One of my favorite drinking spots is Howl at the Moon in Baltimore. Its a piano bar for those not familair. I always fancied myself someone like Dean Martin or Sammy Davis Jr. Cool enough to hang anywhere, but smart enough to sit back, sip the drink, and let the sax player wail my troubles far away. thats the life I love. Thats the life I try to live. Thats the life I want to make better and more successful than it is already. Thanks for all the love and response in the blog.
