This Lie... Could Result In A Hot Conclusion... ๐ฅ๐ The other night, my buddy *FrankeeZee and I were in that classy Italian restaurant (down on Lakeshore Boulevard), enjoying dinner. I've known Frankee for years, yet he still, manages to surprise me. I hadn't seen him in a while and it was nice to catch up on things. The meal was authentic and the ambiance, casually quiet ; except for our constant laughter. We waited for the coffee. Suddenly, out through the kitchen marched a loud flurry of waiters.  "... Happy birthday dear Frankee... Happy birthday to you... " Frankee's birthday - is in July. I looked at him as he smiled from ear to ear. After they'd gone and while he dug into his cake, I asked him what the fuck, he was doing? He grinned at me (with his stuffed, cherubic cheeks) and replied. "Well Paul... I've started to tell every restaurant I go to - that it's my birthday. It cheers me up regardless of the type of day I've had. Makes me feel special. And the wait staff seem to enjoy singing. You should try it. Maybe, ya wouldn't be so fucking sarcastic all the time and... you'd write better blogs." I looked at him and blinked. I had to admit, his cake looked damn good and who doesn't like to feel special? Would you try the 'fake' birthday thing at a restaurant, just to feel special? Or is that only for silly people like FrankeeZee...? lol ๐ ๐ฎ Heck... I did the fake birthday just last year โฆ though I only lied by a day (or two). But I really wanted to wear the Happy Birthday Top Hat while riding the carousel! Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

I have to say me and my hubby were laughing our asses off at your story, I had to read to him as he asked me what I was laughing about.  oh that poor Manager, and what in the world possessed Frankee to set the Managers hair on fire..Oh my what a site that must have been.So glad to hear you both got to catch up with one another, as you know how much I love the adventures you both have with one another. So glad you back, and I hope you have a great Hump day..  Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

Yeah... a lot of the places here do the same. The place we were at was 'higher end' and I guess they didn't care. No... it's not. I did that once as an alter boy. We held our huge candles (you know the type) and I looked at the kid in front of me. Thick head of blond hair. Who knew his hair was so dry. We put it out in a couple of seconds and faced the throng. There was a restaurant here called Carbur's. They had a very unusual menu so when I took friends there, I convinced one of them to order the "DownEast Feast. What they didnt know after checking out the content was how it was served: Every employee in the place comes out with pots and pans and bells and whistles and they parade your meal through the dining room. Embarrassing YEP Hilarious That too. Too bad they finally closed- I know some folk I would do that to now- PS The sandwich is a DOUBLE club un-huh and it's full of lobster,crab,haddock, caramelized onions and more on rye,pumpernickle and wheat (Virtual Symposium Group) use Virtual Symposium Group

I probably wouldn't do it...damn Minnesota honesty. My most memorable waitstaff to-do was my 60th birthday on a small cruise ship...about 10 of them were parading and dancing around the dining room to loud recorded music, carrying a birthday cake with sparklers on top. The sad thing was, we had already had an excellent dessert that evening so I (almost) didn't have room for a piece of the cake.

No doubt, FrankeeZee isnโt the only one who plays the โitโs my birthday cardโ in order to score freebies. Here, you wouldnโt get away with it in most restaurants as they ask for proof. When my daughter was young, I embarrassed her many times by secretly telling the wait staff who would gather together to sing Happy Birthday with sparklers in a dessert. Never happened to me which I appreciated.
